Candles
Swazi Candles make highly desirable candles in colurful designs and shapes, these vary from python skin, to stained glass to African birds and animals. The handmade range is constantly changing, but the basic construction technique remains the same: there is a translucent white wax inner form and an outer shell of hard coloured wax. As the candle burns down the flame ends up inside the coloured shell. The flickering light shines through the harder coloured layer and the result is an extremely attractive decorative light. The candles have an excellent reputation and are sold all over the world - but it is only at the tree shaded workshop in Malkerns that you can see them being made and take advantage of their low workshop prices.
